Inland, Byng Island Conservation Area near Dunnville offers Grand River camping, swimming, and paddling access.

The brief.

Selkirk and Rock Point bookings flow through the Ontario Parks reservation system; Byng Island bookings flow through Grand River Conservation Authority; Haldimand Conservation Area at Selkirk is booked through LPRCA. Selkirk is the lakeshore-beach anchor — frontcountry sites within walking distance of the sand beach and Wheeler's Walk marsh boardwalk.

Rock Point sits next to the migration grounds — a working campground for bird-and-monarch watchers in spring and fall as well as a regular Lake Erie family campground in summer. Byng Island is the Grand River option — quieter river-based camping with paddling and swimming on-site near Dunnville.

May through October is the typical camping window.
