01 — What to know

The brief.

Long Point and Turkey Point bookings flow through the Ontario Parks reservation system; Backus is booked through Long Point Region Conservation Authority. Long Point is the beach-and-marsh anchor — frontcountry sites within walking distance of the sand beach and Inner Bay marsh boardwalk.

Turkey Point is the bluff-top option, family-friendly with village beach access in walking distance and trail-network access into the Turkey Point MTB Club system. Backus is the heritage option — the campground sits adjacent to the Backhouse Mill heritage village and the Backus Woods Carolinian trail system.

May through October is the typical camping window; shoulder-season access varies by site.
