Puslinch.
Puslinch is a rural Wellington County township on the Paris Moraine, immediately south of Guelph and west of the Hamilton/Flamborough boundary. The moraine's glacial geomorphology gives the township a string of kettle lakes — Puslinch Lake, described as one of the largest natural kettle lakes in southern Ontario, is the largest of them — and the Mill Creek headwaters drain south to the Grand River.
Mountsberg Conservation Area straddles the boundary with Hamilton; the Hamilton Conservation Authority operates the Raptor Centre and most of the day-use programming on the Hamilton side, with Puslinch claiming the boundary woodlots, the Puslinch-side trail approaches, and the eBird hotspot status. The Grand River Conservation Authority manages the Puslinch Tract as a passive day-use forest property and the broader Mill Creek subwatershed.
Inside the village of Aberfoyle, Ellis Chapel — a stone heritage chapel built in 1861 — is open for seasonal community services, and the Aberfoyle Antique Market runs Sundays May through October. Puslinch sits within the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Nature & Discovery
Mountsberg Conservation Area sits on the boundary between Puslinch and Hamilton/Flamborough — Hamilton Conservation Authority operates the day-use hub, the Raptor Centre with permanent-resident birds of prey, and most of the seasonal interpretive programming, while the boundary woodlots and the Puslinch-side trail approaches sit inside the township. Mountsberg is a documented eBird hotspot with a substantial species list across waterfowl, raptors, and migrant songbirds. The Grand River Conservation Authority's Puslinch Tract complements the Mountsberg substrate with passive day-use access to a moraine forest property where birding off the maintained trails carries a quieter, less-programmed feel.

Puslinch Lake — one of the largest natural kettle lakes in southern Ontario — is the township's dominant flatwater feature. The shoreline is predominantly private cottage and residential land, and public-access launches are limited to the Old Marina and a small number of cottage-association points; visiting paddlers should plan around that access reality rather than expecting an open public boat ramp. Mountsberg Reservoir, on the Hamilton boundary, adds a Hamilton Conservation Authority–managed non-motorized paddling option with seasonal access through the Mountsberg day-use hub. Together they cover most of Puslinch's recreational flatwater paddling.

Ellis Chapel — a stone heritage chapel built in 1861, off Ellis Road inside the township — is operated by volunteer trustees as a community heritage site with seasonal community services through the summer. The chapel is one of Wellington County's continuously used 19th-century stone chapels and is documented through the Ontario Heritage Trust. Inside the village of Aberfoyle, the historic village core anchors a small mid-19th-century rural Wellington heritage cluster on Brock Road, where the Aberfoyle Antique Market runs Sundays May through October. Together they make Puslinch a small but legible heritage stop on the moraine south of Guelph.
