The brief.

Swift Canoe & Kayak is an Ontario paddlecraft maker and retailer with four cottage-country locations. The Georgian Bay store sits just off Highway 400 at Exit 149 in Waubaushene, at the entrance to the bay's 30,000 Islands. Open May through September, it serves as both a retail showroom for Swift's canoes, kayaks, SUPs, paddles, and safety gear, and a daily rental base where paddlers can launch directly from the on-site dock. Staff are area paddlers and offer route suggestions for Georgian Bay trips. Test paddles on selected models can be arranged by appointment. Rentals include paddles, PFDs, and safety kits, and require advance booking on busy weekends.

    Rent a Swift-built canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or pedal boat by the day and launch from the store's dock at the head of Georgian Bay. Paddles, PFDs, and safety kits are included. Staff can suggest routes into the nearby islands. Advance booking is recommended, especially on long weekends.

    Kayaks $31.80–$74.20/day; canoes $47.70–$68.90/day; SUPs $31.80/day; pedal boats $40/day. Per calendar day; no half-days. One-day non-refundable cancellation fee applies.
