The K&P Rail Trail's Renfrew–Calabogie section runs roughly 32 km of flat gravel rail-trail on the former Kingston & Pembroke Railway corridor; the Calabogie end is the western terminus of the long-distance K&P system that continues south through Lanark Highlands and Frontenac County toward Kingston.

01 — What to know

The brief.

The County of Renfrew bought the corridor from Canadian Pacific Railway in 2001 and developed it as a multi-use trail. The surface is gravel rail-bed — best for hybrid, gravel, or fat-tire bikes.

The trail passes through wooded country and along lake margins, with bridges and crossings; check County notices for any segment closures (e.g., the Ashdad bridge reconstruction). The Calabogie end connects directly into the village; the eastern end terminates in Renfrew.
