Valley Ridge Family Farm.
Working Clydesdale farm in Ravenna offering wagon rides, sleigh rides, animal visits, school trips, and seasonal workshops near Blue Mountain.

The brief.
Valley Ridge Family Farm sits in a small valley just over the Blue Mountain ridge in Ravenna, Ontario, in the southern Georgian Bay area. Roy and Sarah McAllister bought the property in 2016 and run it with their six sons alongside a forage operation and an established equestrian boarding facility. The working barn is home to a Clydesdale team — Eric, Ernie, Penny, and Ella — who pull wagons in warmer months and sleighs in winter. Visitors meet horses, donkeys, goats, rabbits, ducks, and a llama on self-guided tours, and the family hosts school groups, birthday parties, summer day camp for ages 5 to 9, and seasonal artisan workshops on the property.
