01 — About

The brief.

The Ranch is a western riding facility operating since 1980 at 2401 Burnhamthorpe Road West in Oakville, Ontario. It offers guided trail rides through tree-lined fields and forest, western riding lessons for children and adults, summer day camps, private and group party rides, horse boarding, and trail-riding memberships. Trail rides run seven days a week from May to October and on weekends and holidays from November to April, with groups capped at twelve riders at a walk-jog pace. Riders must be at least ten years old and under 250 pounds; helmets are provided. Lessons work toward Equine Canada Rider Levels, and the property also supplies horses for film and television work.
