The brief.

Pat Briere grew up on the St. Lawrence River and has spent more than two decades chasing muskellunge across eastern Ontario's largest waterways. From a home base in Cornwall, he runs guided trips on the St. Lawrence, Ottawa, and Rideau Rivers, targeting trophy muskie with both casting and trolling presentations. Trips are run as catch-and-release, with gear, tackle, and drinks supplied. Pat fishes through the open-water season and into the night when conditions call for it, and he books day trips and multi-day hunts for anglers ranging from first-timers to seasoned muskie hunters. A 100% fish-catch guarantee applies on regular hunts: if the boat is skunked, the next trip is on the house.

    Regular Muskie Hunt (per day)

    For: Anglers from first-time muskie hunters to seasoned trophy chasers willing to put in time on the water.

    Eight-hour guided muskie trip on the St. Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers from Cornwall, Ontario. Boat, equipment, tackle, and drinks included. Trolling and casting presentations across weed lines, break lines, and structure. Catch-and-release only. Hours may run long depending on fishing and weather.

    CAD $890 / USD $650 per day, two anglers; third angler +$100. 30% deposit to book.

    Night Fishing Package

    For: Returning or determined anglers chasing a trophy muskie when daytime bite is tough.

    After-dark guided muskie trip offered alongside or in addition to daytime hunts, run when conditions favour a night bite for trophy fish. Same rivers and catch-and-release rules as the regular hunt.
