Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre.

Heritage steamship cruises aboard RMS Segwun and Wenonah II on the Muskoka Lakes from Gravenhurst, plus the on-shore Discovery Centre

01 — About

The brief.

Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre is a non-profit registered charity in Gravenhurst, Ontario, founded in 1973 to preserve and operate the heritage steamships of the Muskoka Lakes — anchored by the RMS Segwun, North America's oldest operating coal-fired steamship and the only steam-driven Royal Mail Ship in the world. The three-vessel fleet — RMS Segwun (built 1887), Wenonah II (launched 2002, 1907-style design), and the 1915 steam yacht Wanda III — sails from the Muskoka Steamships dock at 185 Cherokee Lane on Muskoka Bay. On shore at Muskoka Wharf, the Muskoka Discovery Centre runs year-round with award-winning exhibits including Misko-Aki: Confluence of Cultures and the largest in-water collection of classic antique wooden boats in North America. 2026 cruise season runs into October.
