Hoover's Maple Syrup.

Certified Organic sugar shack tours and hands-on maple experiences near Atwood, Ontario, on the Listowel-to-Atwood bike trail

01 — About

The brief.

Hoover's Maple Syrup is a family-owned, Certified Organic maple producer on a 50-acre bush just outside Atwood, Ontario, in Perth County along the Listowel-to-Atwood bike trail. Terry and Diane Hoover relocated the operation from Nobleton to its current Atwood location in 1988 and now run roughly 3,500 taps using both traditional buckets (for tours) and modern tubing with vacuum systems, a wood-fired evaporator, and reverse osmosis. The farm runs sugar-shack tours from mid-February through April, free fall woodlot tours during the last weekend of September into early October, and the group-format Hoover's Maple Challenge across late spring and early fall. The facility is single-level and wheelchair-accessible with front-door parking, and the Hoovers were named 2020 Elmira Maple Syrup Festival Producer of the Year.
