Halton Outdoor Club.

Member-run club for year-round hiking, cycling, kayaking, and cross-country skiing across Ontario's Golden Horseshoe.

01 — About

The brief.

Founded in 1973 as the Halton Cross Country Ski Club, the Halton Outdoor Club is a volunteer-run, four-season outdoor club based in Burlington, Ontario. Over the decades it grew to add cycling, hiking, Nordic walking, and kayaking, taking its current name around 2000. Today more than 600 members come together to stay active outdoors, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people. The club organizes day trips, weekend getaways, and extended domestic and international travel, alongside beginner lessons and clinics in cross-country skiing and kayaking. Members span all ages and skill levels, drawn primarily from the area between Mississauga and Niagara, with participants also travelling from Toronto, Guelph, London, and Orangeville.
