Barefoot Bushcraft & Archery is a Thorold-based outdoor education business in the Niagara Region, operating since 2013 from 1874 Highway 20 in the rural L0S-1E6 corridor near Allanburg Bridge. The site runs 100% outdoor 10m and 20m recurve archery ranges and a portfolio of priced bushcraft workshops covering fire-making, knife safety, tarp shelters, batoning, and bow-drill friction fire. Programming spans hourly archery lessons for ages 6 and up, half- and full-day bushcraft courses for ages 10 and up, axe-and-knife-throwing party packages, a six-week HOBBIT homeschool program, and a five-day Wilderness Archery Summer Camp running across July and August. Archery Lessons Niagara
For: Adults and children, minimum age 6When: Year-round; winter Mon and Fri–Sun 11am–dusk, summer all days 11am–7pmOne-hour recurve archery instruction on outdoor 10m and 20m ranges, with bow, instructor, sheltered shooting area, and parking included. All lessons book online through Acuity Scheduling. Spots are limited and barefoot shooting is permitted. Range-only rental is $20/day for participants bringing their own equipment.

Wilderness Archery Summer Camp
For: Ages 8–13When: July 13–17, July 27–31, August 10–14, August 17–21 (2026)Weekly day camp from 09:00–16:00 with optional early care from 08:00 and late pick-up until 18:00 at $10/hour each. Activities include archery, fire-making with flint, steel and ferro rods, axe and knife throwing, tarp shelters and knots, paracord weaving, owl pellet dissection, tractor operation, fishing, and a Friday family potluck. Capacity is strictly 15 students per week and no refunds are issued once registered.

For: Ages 6–15 with parental participation includedWhen: Spring sessions — most recent published: April 11, 18, 25 and May 2, 9, 16 (Thursdays)Six-week Thursday homeschool program, 10am–4pm, rotating across three modules: archery plus axe-and-knife throwing; fire-making, shelter, and tool safety; and homesteading skills including tractor operation, soap-making, sewing, leather work, and gardening. Capacity is 10 students per session; each child registers individually for the full six weeks. Runs rain or shine, modified during lightning.
