Calabogie Peaks Resort sits on a slope above the eastern shore of Calabogie Lake, founded in 1969 and run as a four-season operator. The 238 m vertical drop is the highest among public ski hills in Ontario, served by two chairlifts and a carpet across 24 trails — including the longest beginner trail in Ontario.

01 — What to know

The brief.

The hill works for full-day alpine, with intermediate and expert runs alongside the long beginner trail; lessons, rentals, and a learning area sit at the base. Ski-in/ski-out condos and hotel rooms put lodging directly on Calabogie Lake — the only ski-in/ski-out mountain in Ontario with direct lakefront access.

The mountain is roughly 80 km west of Ottawa via Calabogie Road and the Trans-Canada Highway. Mid-December through March is the operating window in a normal winter; check the resort site for daily conditions and lift schedule.
