Pretty River Valley Provincial Park is 1,099 ha of Niagara Escarpment terrain that the main Bruce Trail crosses, sprawled across Collingwood, Clearview, and The Blue Mountains; the Pretty River corridor descends north through Collingwood. Inside town, the George Christie Nature Trails and the 20+ km Heather Pathway full-town circuit make for the long municipal walks.

Pretty River Valley PP is day-use only with no facilities and no camping, and the Ontario Parks page emphasizes that the area's geological and botanical features are sensitive — over 400 vascular plant species and provincially significant glacial features. The day-use access at 635397 Pretty River Road sits in Clearview Township; Collingwood-resident hikers reach park terrain across the municipal line.
The Bruce Trail through this section is managed by the Blue Mountains Bruce Trail Club. Inside town, the 60+ km municipal network covers mixed terrain — granular, concrete, asphalt, boardwalk, natural — and the Heather Pathway is the full-town loop.
May through October is the easiest window. Note the 6.8 mi Pretty River + Bruce Trail loop with ~1,900 ft gain is rated moderate.
