Bracebridge.

Bracebridge is built around Bracebridge Falls on the North Branch of the Muskoka River — the urban centre of the District of Muskoka, with the Silver Bridge crossing the falls in the downtown core. Three named waterfalls sit within five minutes of the centre — Bracebridge Falls (downtown), Wilson's Falls (461 Wilsons Falls Road), and Muskoka High Falls (Cedar Lane Exit of Highway 11, about 6 km north) — strung along the Trans Canada Trail spine that runs through town.
North of town along the river, the Bracebridge Resource Management Centre carries 19 km of multi-use hiking and MORCA-built singletrack in summer and 16.5 km of groomed classic-and-skate ski trail in winter, free to use. Lake Muskoka opens at the river mouth south of town, with municipal access at Kirby's Beach Park, Annie Williams Memorial Park, and Bracebridge Bay Park.
Less than two hours from the GTA via Highway 11.
